The Year I Tried, Failed, and Grew š
Hey there,
Can you believe it? Just 2 days left to 2025!
I thought this would be the perfect time to share a little about my 2024 with you.
...
2024 started on a pretty rough note for me š
And when I say rough, I mean really rough.
I came into the Year feeling seriously sick.
Not the kind of ātake-two-pills-and-youāll-be-fineā sick.
No, this was the āempty-your-savings-on-tests-and-medical-billsā kind of sick.
For the first 2 months, I was in and out of hospitals, doing all sorts of tests, taking medications, and praying for relief.
By the time I finally got better, I was left withā¦ well, nothing.
It felt like life handed me a reset button and then walked away.
But life wasnāt done with me yet.
Right after recovering, I started having issues at work.
And it wasnāt the usual āoh, I hate my bossā kind of problems.
No, this was next level.
I worked remotely, but my employers decided they wanted me in the office.
They tried to blackmail me into something I couldnāt and wouldnāt do, and because I didnāt play along, things got ugly.
Deadlines became impossible, feedback turned into insults, and honestly, my mental health took a serious hit.
By June, Iād had enough.
Soā¦ I quit.
...
I finally had the mental space to focus on me.
I started picking up a few projects here and there and learning about marketing automation.
Honestly, it felt good to be working on something that challenged me, that made me feel alive again.
It wasnāt all smooth sailing, though.
Starting over meant rebuilding from scratch.
No steady income.
No clear direction.
Just me, my laptop, and a whole lot of faith.
But looking back now, Iām glad I took that leap.
Fast forward to December, and for the first time all year, I truly enjoyed myself (with a little bit of Oblee š ).
I exceeded my savings goals (yes, even after that rough start!), upgraded my phone and laptop, and Iām definitely ending the year feeling genuinely proud of myself.
...
2024 taught me resilience.
It taught me that I can start over, even when the odds are stacked against me.
And most importantly, it taught me that growth isnāt linearāitās messy, unpredictable, and often downright painful.
But itās worth it.
Looking Ahead to 2025
Iāve got big plans for 2025.
Iāll be doing more of content and marketing automation, learning about investing and putting systems in place to make sure every kobo I earn earns me another kobo.
And you know what?
Iām taking you along on the journey.
So hereās to 2025āwhere weāll try, fail, grow, and thrive together šŖ
See you in 2025 š
