Lost in Lagos πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

A hilarious journey home πŸ˜‚

So, 2 weeks ago, I was at Ikoyi

The organization I work with had a training session and I had to be there.

After the session, which was a success by the way.

I opened my Bolt app, I saw ₦10,100 back to Ikorodu

I was like πŸ‘‡πŸΏ

"Not in this Tinubu economy"

So, I left for Obalende to catch the BRT bus back to Ikorodu

On getting to the Bus terminal, I just went straight to the section where they used to load Ikorodu and entered.

Unknowingly for me, it was the bus going to Abule-Egba I boarded 😭

Before I knew it, we were already at Oshodi

Fair enough!

I should alight at Oshodi, right?

Bro, I didn't...

I didn't want people to think I'm Lagos JJC

So I journeyed on like a fool... that I am... 😭

I sha passed about 2 different bus stops.

Then it dawned on me

And I was like "What type of rubbish is this Isaac!"

So I finally alighted at Dopemu.

(If you know Lagos very well, you'll know to what extent my fooling was πŸ˜…)

From Dopemu, I took a β€˜korope’ bus back to Oshodi while sweating profusely inside the hot sun 🌝

When I got to the bus terminal at Oshodi

I had to ask about 5 different people "This is the queue to Ikorodu right?" πŸ˜…

Even though I knew it was!

You know....once bitten twice shy.

Then I told my friend Captain, what had happened

The first thing he said was "You're a fool."

God!! That one pains me like madd.

But here's what I learned from that experience

There's no shame in asking for directions

Plus, a little humility never hurt anyone

(except maybe my pride that day πŸ˜‘)

That’s it. I hope you learned one or two from this.

P.S. Have you ever found yourself in a similar situation before? if YES, tell me by replying to this email.
