How I got my first ever girlfriend 😻

Hii, Happy Sunday

Talking about my love life is one of the things I hate doing in this life

But after today’s service on love, I’ve decided to share a story that's very close to my heart.

A story about how I got my first girlfriend back when I was still in school.

Her name was Chioma 😻.

She had the brightest smile I had ever seen in my life πŸ’―

Every time she walked past me, my heart would race like I'd just run a marathon.

Despite my intense crush,

I was incredibly shy and could barely say a "hi" without my voice cracking. 😩

My friend, Collins, knew about my crush.

He decided to take matters into his own hands and set up a plan for us at the school library. 😹

I was so nervous. 😩

Collins plan was simple:

We’d both "coincidentally" be looking for the same book, which would be the perfect icebreaker.

You know those Korean movie-style kinds of a thing ehn πŸ˜…

That was it.

On the day of the plan,

My palms were sweaty, and I could feel my heart pounding gbim gbim, gba gba, gbo gbo πŸ˜….

As I walked into the library, there she was, right by the fiction section.

I took a deep breath and approached her, trying to act casual.

"Hey, Chioma," I said, my voice betraying my nerves. 😩

"Looking for something good to read?"

She looked up and smiled. "Hi, yeah! I heard this book is great." She held up a copy of β€œThe Lion and the Jewel” by Wole Soyinka.

"That's one of my favorites," I lied.

I hadn’t read it, but I didn’t want to sound uncool. 😎

We ended up talking about books for a few minutes, and to my surprise, it was less awkward than I had imagined.

However, just as I was starting to feel more comfortable,

Collins appeared out of nowhere and loudly exclaimed,

"Oh hey, you two finally met! What a coincidence!"

I wanted to disappear into the floor. 😭

She giggled, and I felt my face turn red.

That encounter opened the door for more conversations between us sha. πŸ˜‰

We started chatting more during lunch breaks and worked on group projects together.

Each conversation became a little easier, and I found myself looking forward to seeing her every day (Emi lover boy πŸ˜…).

One day, after a particularly fun study session,

I decided to take a leap of faith like a man that I am. πŸ˜…

I gathered all my courage and asked her if she’d like to see a movie with me.

To my astonishment, she said yes! πŸ•Ί

The day of the movie came.

We laughed and enjoyed each other's company. πŸ’‘

By the end of the night, I realized that all the anxiety and drama had been worth it.

I had taken a chance, and it had paid off in the best possible way.

In fact, I had already started to plan our wedding day in my head. πŸ˜…

From this experience, I learned a few important lessons:

1. Face Your Fears:

Being shy is natural, but stepping out of your comfort zone can lead to wonderful experiences.

2. Be Genuine:

Pretending to be someone you're not will only destroy you. πŸ’―

3. Take Chances:

Life is too short to let opportunities pass by.

Sometimes, you just have to take the plunge.

That’s it! Hope you’re entertained? πŸ˜…

Until next time,

Loverboy β€” Isaac πŸ˜
